Only one river flows through Dighinala upazila . The name of the river is Maini. 
It originates from the channel of the north / upstream .
The river flows through Babuchhara, Dighinala, Boalkhali,
Kabakhali and the southernmost Merung Union and falls into Kaptai 
Lake at Mainimukh in Langadu Upazila.Its length from the source is about 45 km .
Irrigation of agricultural land in Dighinala is dependent on the water of this river.
