Background of Dighinala Upazila
Dighinala Upazila is a very important town in Chittagong Hill Tracts and Khagrachhari district.
Dighinala Thana was established in 1920.Later in 1984 it was upgraded to an upazila.
In the Baradam area of ​​the Dighinala-Babuchara road, in the 18th century,
the Maharaja of the state of Tripura dug a dighi to supply drinking water to the locals.
The origin of the name Dighinala is due to the numerous canals around it and this lake.
Many of the peacekeepers who surrendered on the shores of the lake under the 1997 peace 
agreement surrendered their weapons.
