Background of Upazila Administration

Dighinala Thana was established in 1923 under Ramgarh subdivision. Later in 1983, Dighinala Thana was upgraded

to an administrative upazila under Khagrachhari district. The office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer represents the

government at the field level. Implementation of government  policies, Supervision and coordination  of

development activities, Law and order control, Dealing with emergencies,Conduct public examinations,

Implement social security programs, Improving the quality of education,The Upazila Nirbahi Officer

performs the duties assigned by various laws and rules including poverty alleviation.
